Dinosaur toys have been with us for a bit. Though there's no official source that claims Godzilla was a dinosaur, he really looks quite similar and he definitely sparked the awareness to all prehistoric monsters. The early dinosaur acclaim moderately coincided with the 1954 scifi film Godzilla. The 1st one to take advantage of the phenomenon was Louis Marx – a giant toymaker of USA. And the undeniable fact that young boys ( and some girls too ) adore their monsters opened the road for a completely new industry. They are not so snuggly ( well, basically they are when you start to know them ) but they are as much fun and will fascinate the children as much.

Most children go thru a stage where they're fully interested by dinosaurs in some form or shape. In my time, it could have been building dinosaur models. Perhaps this obsession comes from the indisputable fact that dinosaurs look so out of this world. A number of them can even giggle and talk and sing at the push of your mouse. Children just positively like their Barney toys. Somebody as young as a two-year-old already has the sense of being fully adamant by deciding she will not sleep without her Barney toy beside her. It makes you wonder what these children see in their Barney toys…
